Check Your Credit
The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that each of the 3 major
credit reporting companies,
at the consumer's request, provide consumers with a free copy of their credit
report once
every year. The only website authorized to do this is:
Annualcreditreport.com. Be advised
that there are other sites known as "Phishing Sites" that attempt to lure people in that may have
spelled the address incorrectly. This link has been verified as safe. You may
also link to it off of the Federal Trade Commission's website by

Report Suspicious Activity
The Federal Trade Commission also offers channels
through which you may file a complaint
if you have paid for what you thought was a free annual credit report, or if you
have received
unsolicited (spam) emails offering you a free annual credit report. Be advised
that,
annualcreditreport.com will NEVER send you an email solicitation for your
annual credit
report or use pop up ads.
To report identity theft you can call the FTC's ID Theft Hotline at
1-877-IDTHEFT(438-4338) or you can use the FTC's online
ID Theft
Complaint Form
We urge you to take advantage of this free annual
service, and to stay updated on the latest
scams and security threats by checking out our Alerts Page.
